Marvel Quant
Marvel Quant ✻
Marvel Quant is a fintech company focused on making trading smarter, faster, and more reliable. As a freelance project, I worked on building a strong brand identity system that reflects trust, professionalism, and clarity in the finance space. The goal was to create a bold yet minimal visual identity that could scale across digital and marketing touchpoints while staying credible for a finance-focused audience.
2025
Context & Goal
Marvel Quant needed a brand identity that:
Feels trustworthy and professional
Communicates reliability without visual noise
Works well across digital-first platforms
Can scale as the product grows
The challenge was to strike a balance between confidence and restraint, avoiding over-designed or overly trendy fintech visuals.
Logo Design
The logo was built using the initials MQ for Marvel Quant.
Design decisions:
Kept the form simple and structured to maintain credibility
Avoided decorative elements or heavy stylisation
Created clear guidelines for black and white usage across backgrounds
Ensured the logo remained legible and consistent across sizes
The result was a mark that feels confident, professional, and easy to recognise.
Colour System
I developed a distinct colour palette centred around:
Navy and deep blues for trust and stability
Charcoal and granite tones for balance and structure
Accent blues for highlights and calls to action
Gradients were introduced selectively to add depth in digital and marketing applications, without overpowering the core identity. Colour usage was intentional and mapped to purpose rather than decoration.
Applications
To ensure consistency, I defined clear usage rules and applied the identity across key touchpoints.
This included:
Logo usage guidelines (correct and incorrect usage)
Favicon variations for web presence
Branded layouts using typography, colours, patterns, and gradients
The system was designed to be easy to follow and scalable for future needs.
My Role
Owned the brand identity design end to end
Conducted industry research and visual benchmarking
Designed the logo, colour system, and typography
Defined brand usage guidelines and applications
Result
Marvel Quant received a clear, professional, and scalable brand identity aligned with the expectations of the fintech space. The system provided a strong visual foundation that can support both product and marketing needs going forward.
Key Learnings
This project reinforced the importance of restraint in brand design, especially in finance. I learned how clarity, consistency, and intention often communicate trust more effectively than complexity, and how a strong system makes a brand easier to scale and maintain.
